The RØDE NTG2 is a shotgun microphone useful for all professional video and audio productions. It is a directional microphone, consequently very performing in capturing sounds in the air cone in front of the receiver but at the same time not very performing in capturing panoramic audio. You can conveniently mount it on a boom pole to record live audio within elaborate sets, but you can also mount it directly on the camera to have a more agile and lightweight set up for situations like video events or reportage.
